The testing session included three tests to evaluate Es, Rs and SSE according to Bosco (1994) in the following sequence: three attempts of a counter movement jump (CMJ), with a two minutes rest between attempts, where the best performance was recorded after a three minutes rest, a stiffness test that included 15 reactivity jumps (15React) after a four to five minutes rest a 30 seconds continuous CMJ (30CMJ). The subjects were instructed not to engage in high-intensity training during the 48 hours prior to the testing session. Before the experiments, the subjects were familiarised with the testing procedures. ProceduresĪll subjects were evaluated at the end of the Preparatory Phase for three consecutive sea- sons. The athletes were assigned in two groups according to their performance level. The main aims of the present study were to identify differences in Es, Rs and SSE, between two groups of 400m runners with distinct performance levels and to identify associations between each strength component and 400m performance (t400) in speed endurance athletes.įifteen elite male runners, 400m and 400m hurdle specialists, volunteered to participate in the present study, after being informed about the aims, risks and advantages of their participation. However, we have found no data on differences of the strength levels in 400m runners from distinct performance levels. Until the present time, several studies with distinct populations have been performed in order to investigate the strength components and their importance in sprint events (Num- mela et all, 1992 Delecluse, 1997 Locatelli, 1996 Manou et all, 2000 Chelly & Denis, 2001 Henessy & Kilty, 2001 Miguel, 2003). explosive strength (Es), reactive strength (Rs) and especially Es endurance or speed strength endurance (SSE). Therefore, SE seems to be a determinant factor in 400m performance and athletes with the best performances in the event should also be able to express more power in sprint specific strength components, i.e. The greater the ability of the athlete to oppose fatigue (by maintaining strength levels), the smaller the drop in speed and consequently the better the performance (Harre & Leopold, 1987). 1994), strength endurance (SE) will prevail as the determinant of success in this event. 1990) or to FT fibers failure (Nummela et al. 1992), due to metabolic changes (Arcelli, 1995 Lacour et al. Indeed, once the strength capacity progressively decreases during the event (Nummela et al. This possible failure in stiffness characteristics may reduce the storage of elastic energy during the braking phase. The differences found by the authors between a sub-maximal 20m run at competition pace and the end of the 400m run suggests possible changes in stiffness regulation. In the same study, the authors have found that during the last phase of the event, ground reaction forces decreased remarkably during the braking phase, which implies that the musculotendon system reduced capacity to tolerate impact forces. This increase in EMG activity during the 400m is caused by the increase in the firing rate and/or the recruitment of additional motor units to compensate for failure in contractile capacity of muscle fibers that have already been recruited (Nummela et al. Additionally, it is possible to observe an increase of the electromyographic record (EMG) of the muscles that participate in the sprinting action. However from the 200- 300m onwards there is a strength reduction, as capillary lactates concentration attains more than 6mmol/l, and the pH drops. (1994) suggest that during the first 200m of the race muscle properties are modified (reflected by an increase of contact time and a decrease of explosive strength in the height of jump) even without a decrease in the running speed. These results and the results from Nummela et al. Moreover, the authors found a linear negative relationship between jump height and lactate levels above 6mmol/l. After the 300m there was a 16% drop and after the 400m a 25% decreased was observed. Comparing rest values with the those after the runs it was possible to verify the deteriorating force production over the event. To evaluate the strength level decrease, the subjects performed a drop jump test (from 39cm height) after the end of each of the referred distances. On different days subjects ran 400m, 100m, 200m and 300m respectively as if they where running the event (i.e. (1992) have studied the effects of fatigue on sprinters performing a 400m race.

The new camera sits in the center of the bezel above the touchscreen, flanked by far-field microphones on each side and an ambient light sensor to its immediate left. The Echo Show sounds slightly fuller to me, while the Nest Hub Max is a bit more crisp. In side-by-side listening tests like the ones we included in the video at the top of this post, I had a tough time telling the two apart. It holds up against its chief rival, the Amazon Echo Show, as well. That's still a respectable jump in sound quality, and it's one that makes for playback that's noticeably less tinny-sounding than before. It's a great gadget for regular Google Duo chat users, but in spite of the impressive combination of hardware and software, it's tough to recommend outside of that. The Nest Hub Max is none of these things, and it arrives at a time when Google is facing legitimate questions about privacy standards and about the new walls it seems to be putting up around Nest's smart home garden. $229 is a fair price for it, too, matching the cost of the equally sized, second-gen Amazon Echo Show, which came out a year ago.īut part of what made the original Nest Hub so good was that it was small, inconspicuous and camera-free. It has the same voice-activated Google Assistant smarts and the same snappy operating system as the original, plus a useful mix of new features that all worked well when I tested them out. And if that's the case, then the Nest Hub Max and its new tricks will deliver as promised. In other words, Google is doing its best to convince you that you do, in fact, want a Nest Hub with a camera. Whether you're taking a break from exploring bolder flavors or simply want an option that will never fail to satisfy, Wingstop's Plain chicken sandwich is a winning choice.Ĭontrary to its name, this Plain chicken sandwich is far from ordinary. It knows exactly what it is and embraces it in every bite. It's a humble dish that revels in its simplicity, putting the spotlight on top-notch ingredients, expert cooking techniques, and a perfect balance of textures. There's a profoundly comforting quality in the Plain chicken sandwich that makes it a tried-and-true favorite. The texture of the lightly toasted bun complements the tender chicken, resulting in a delightful contrast and a satisfying bite every time. The crispiness of the chicken is perfectly contrasted with its juicy, tender insides. Wingstop's Plain chicken sandwich offers a clear, unadulterated chicken taste. Despite its minimalistic name, this sandwich speaks volumes when it comes to taste, quality, and satisfaction factor. The straightforward flavor of the chicken is allowed to shine in its purest form– seasoned just right and with a perfect coating. With the first bite, there's an immediate allure in the simplicity that the Plain chicken sandwich offers. As a lover of the original flavors and textures, I find myself drawn toward its satisfying simplicity, all while appreciating the skill that has gone into ensuring it tastes far from plain. Though it might not sound as exciting as the other options available, there's something incredibly satisfying in the simplicity of Wingstop's Plain chicken sandwich. It is, indeed, an unmissable delight from Wingstop's treasure trove. It provides a joyous celebration of taste that takes you on a unique culinary treat like no other. The harmony of flavors is unmatched as it offers an irresistible and indulgent dining experience, promising to satisfy not just your hunger, but also your soul. In short, the Garlic Parm chicken sandwich is, from my experience, one of Wingstop’s most unforgettable culinary masterpieces. Eaten together, it's a symphony of flavors that, for me, define the essence of a perfect chicken sandwich. It's a gustatory celebration that perfectly balances the savory notes of garlic and the soft, slightly sweet undertones of Parmesan. The infusion of earthy garlic paired with the distinctly nutty and subtly sweet Parmesan cheese creates a blend of flavors that is nothing short of sensational. The crunch from the perfectly battered chicken is hard to resist, but it's the burst of flavor that follows that truly gets me.Īs the name suggests, the flavor combination of garlic and Parmesan is what sets this sandwich apart. My first bite into the juicy chicken is always an instant reminder of why I keep coming back to this classic flavor. From there, the experience only gets better. Upon lifting the top half of the beautifully toasted sandwich bun, you're first greeted with the sight of such a brilliantly golden, crisply fried chicken piece warmly nestled within. The premise of the Garlic Parm chicken sandwich is one of pure simplicity and tantalizing flavors. The sheer aroma of this chicken sandwich is enough to tantalize my senses, making me involuntarily gravitate toward it time and time again. Unfortunately, it’s not that simple. And what’s so amazing is that Tristan can cause so much lusty tension with just a LOOK…and we, the reader, can’t even see him! (□ RuNyx) Morana and Tristan’s story is so complicated and emotionally charged, you can’t help but root for them through all the messy feelings. Morana intends to kill him, but what she doesn’t know is that Tristan has been intending to kill HER for a VERY long time… The tension in this one is so thick. Morana has had her computer codes stolen, and she’s pretty sure the culprit is Tristan Caine, known in mafia circles as The Predator for his lethal skills. and maybe I’ll live dangerously and even continue with the series too if book 2 is better. I liked it even with its flaws and I will get book 2 when it’s released on Audible soon. Worth a credit? Yes 70% liked so probably. And I definitely definitely didn’t like the unexpected CLIFFHANGER either. Or that it was only told from Morana’s point of view. I didn’t like the plot being 95% inner monologue with continual reminders of his “blue eyes” and his “woodsy” smell and always, and repeatedly, referring to him by his full name of Tristan Caine over and over and over again. BUT there were a few things I didn’t like too. And I liked the unfolding of a dark mystery as the storyline revealed some truths and shocking revelations with drama, tension and suspense as time went on. I liked the icy cold dynamics that slowly began to thaw as these enemies navigated their very hostile waters. I liked their angsty, highly-charged (but mostly silent) stare-downs and encounters that spoke of death and retribution. I liked the toxic explosive chemistry between lethal, cold, dark and deadly Tristan who oozed danger and the disillusioned rival Mafia daughter/pawn Morana. This is my first from this author and it kept my interest from beginning to end as her world-building and characters were introduced. tvOS 17.2 comes more than a month after tvOS 17.1, an update that expanded. Each time “It” calls a new corner, the numbers will dwindle until only one player remains. “It” will count, again and your kids should continue to scramble to different corners. Anyone in that corner must return to their desk. When they’re done counting, “It” will call out a the number or name of one of the corners - “Corner 2,” for instance. While “It” is counting, have everyone else scramble to the corner of their choice. Have “It” stand in the middle of the room, close their eyes, and count to ten. Smaller children may not be ready for miming “Where The Red Fern Grows.” They can, however, play a version that’s on their level. So, when looking for ways to appease bored kiddos, look no further than kindergarten classroom games like the ones below. They can educate and entertain little ones better than anyone else. The best teachers can foster those skills by playing games in their kindergarten classroom. One very big part of kindergarten, though, is learning to socialize - to share, converse, and play together. They’ll also learn to count to about 30 and be able to add and subtract numbers less than ten. By the time our kids finish kindergarten, they’ll know how to identify and write all 26 alphabet letters, make their sounds, and read simple sight words. Let’s not get it twisted: Kindergarten is important. You need some kindergarten classroom games. Or, perhaps, you’re just looking for ways to entertain your 5 to 7 year olds at home.
